We bought 8 tea spoons from Asda. We now have 14 all together , so they should last a while.
Tomorrow lunch time, we are having our first line dancing lesson but to be fair, I think it may be too much for Mrs G and to be honest, it won't bother me as I am no dancer . We shall see.
Tomorrow night we are going out for a meal with friends who came down from York yesterday, so a busy day ahead .

Afternoon all . It’s been nice day here in Coventry . Havnt done much today other than take the daughter to another job interview, which took a lot longer than was expected, hopefully this is a good sign .
With all this talk of Anglesey, what’s the best place on the island to go for a day out ? We are going to Llandudno for for a few days around my birthday in early November and where thinking of visiting the island ( if the weather is ok of course ) .

And yes I do know going to north wales in November is not the most sensible decision we have ever made . 😂😀

Trearddur Bay ( not sure about the spelling) near Holyhead with a nice restaurant called Sea Shanty and South Stark light house close by.

Fountains Abbey was always on our 'to do' list, sadly it never got ticked off.

Came here as a child with my Father who was a history teacher (Shame he wasn’t with us today, he’d have brought it all to life) also went last year. Probably my favourite NT it’s just spectacular.

😡 the car is playing up, it started today when accelerating away. It is either a fuel or ignition fault. It jerks and is not smooth as it was yesterday.
Just when we really need it as our daughter is moving house next week and we need to use the car to get there.
The garage we use is fully booked and can't see it until next Wednesday.
It does still go, but I am a bit reticent to go far in it incase it gives up altogether.

Personally i would do South Stack first to make sure you dont miss it. Assuming you are both fit enough you MUST walk all the steps down to the lighthouse, not forgetting you have to go back up them. Wear sensibke shoes.
walk some of the nearby cliff top and look out for the rare(ish) Choughs.
A walk up and over Holyhead mountin is a great experience..... you can do all 3 from the same free parking place.
As Gavroche says, TreaddurBay is beautiful but in my opinion the nearby Porth Daffach is more beautiful, has free toilets and snack bar/ice cream etc.

Didn't get on with Beaumaris at all & Anglesey in general

Had a week there about 8 years ago and it didn't live up to the hype for us.

Friends of ours raved about it.

I used to live sort of near there and always loved Beaumaris
and some parts of the East coast of Anglesey - especially some of the smaller beaches and walks between them
some other bits were a bit "not interesting"

to be fair to the driver

deer move fast and it would be possible for it to come out of nowhere and hit the side of the car
and for the driver to not know what that was and keep driving having seen nothing

I agree that the driver should stop** IF he/she thinks the deer is injured. Phone 111 or whatever it is in Scotland so it can be put down.
**as other have said, there is no legal obligation to do so.
NB
If the car is damaged and they dont stop they could have problems claiming on the insurance.

My first of an extra day a fortnight at the cat sanctuary to see how it works out ref. my various 'age related' issues - !
Busy from 06.30h until 13.15h. - washing umpteen cat bowls, hanging laundry out, servicing the three large cat compounds we have, doing grounds maintenance and socialising with cats.
Arrived home tired, but a rewarding day.

Had a parish council meeting today to discuss various bits. Our chairman is knocking on and has health issues, and it was informally agreed that if he steps down I would be voted as his replacement if I were willing to stand. Gulp!
