The Retirement Thread

[Dave7]

I was thinking a nice shade of puce...

Nice to see you thinking outside the box Dirk.....go for it.

[Tenkaykev]

Morning Tenkers.

Good morning young man. As I mentioned previously, granddaughter is learning Bass, she's starting piano lessons too at the end of the month. Wondered if you had any knowledge of keyboards, something basic to start with, in case she decides it's not for her.

My advice would be just make sure it has a full size keyboard with full size keys.

Morning all,

Two coffees downed and porridge with date syrup and banana for breakfast.

Washing up done and now will go and start tidying the greenhouse and have a nose in the loft this afternoon.

[Paulus]

We have had heavy rain for a couple of hours now. My butts will be brim full now.

[ebikeerwidnes]

Dogs walked. Nice not to get soaked for a change. Listened to Led Zeppelin on the way round.

I can;t understand people who do that

walking around without being able to hear everything would scare me!!!

(mind you - I do not have 2 guard dogs to protect me
but then what about an attacker with food???)

[Drago]

I can hear everything and often stop to have a conversation with other dog walkers.

My hearing with my adaptive pod things in is better than Mrs D's normal hearing (shes hearing imapired).

Or I can change the settings and block put all the ambient noise, but I like a morning chat so leave it on adaptive and it mutes when it hears human voices. Clever stuff.

[tarric]

Well the rain arrived overnight and it's still quite windy, the forecast is it's in for the day. So a day spent doing the things I've been putting off.

[Drago]

Leftover pizza for lunch, comsu,ed early as popping out. Very nice. Lloyd and Harry got a Schmacko each fkr being good boys.

[PeteXXX]

I'm looking for the charger for the Nokia 3310 & 3330 that I rediscovered in a box as I was clearing up the loft yesterday. I'm somewhat surprised that they didn't still have a couple of bars charge in them!
I guess the iPhone 5 will still need a lightning cable 🤷‍♂️

[Elybazza61]

Absolutely throwing it down here and has been for at least an hour now.

Got greenhouse cleared of tomatoes and the grapevine, still some more to do though.

Had stilton and broccoli soup for lunch and had a mooch about in the loft but couldn't find what I was after, at least I know it's not leaking in there now.

[SpokeyDokey]

Raining again.

CH on plus we have lit the open fire to cheer the place up.

Lazy afternoon of reading beckons.

Was going to do my gym but my knee, which I thought was better yesterday, has reverted to painful today. Grrr!

Is it the September Triple Lock figures that our State Pension for 27/28 is calculated on?

Stay happy, all!

[Dirk]

Waiting for the chimney sweep to arrive...

[Dave7]

Back from the pub. Very enjoyable.
Its now steady rain, cold and it feels damp.

[Dirk]

...and she's arrived. 👍
