Good morning from a damp Dorset. Slept well and managed to read another two chapters of " The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark " without falling asleep. Daughter and other granddaughter are travelling to Madrid today. Granddaughter tells me she is excited about two things, going to the art gallery to view " Guernica " , and eating Churros.
Pleased to say that granddaughter who is staying with us has been practicing piano. I think it was the disruption of changing school and accommodation over the last few weeks which saw her give up on it, hopefully temporarily as her teacher said she was quite talented. Managed to print off some free sheet music and at the moment I'm listening to " Fur Elise " which, while basic, is much better than the songs from " KPop Demon Hunters " that she likes to listen to 🤔

Morning Tenkers. Morning Paulius Caesar.

Will get the van prepped and packed ready for my journey to the high peaks tomorrow.

Mrs Tkk and I took part in the " High Peaks Challenge " many years ago. It started and finished in Buxton and was quite treacherous in places as it had been raining and some of the slatey descents were " challenging " ( I guess the name of the event should have been a clue ). A beautiful part of the country.

The beach I am pretty sure is Bondi. The one of the bridge is coming around from the Darling harbour direction and the other photo would be somewhere in that area too as you can just see the harbour bridge in the distance.
My, it brings back happy memories and sad too, as we lost our friends a few years back.

The grandson is at Wollongong for a few days so assume they are in that area.
Typical lad, no info, just 3 photos.
Still, its nice to know his old granddad is in his thoughts.

Up at 6:00 this morning so coffee brewed and sat down to watch the Lions-Packers NFL game, breakfast at half-time and another coffee after.

Not a bad start (not windy!) but now raining (although not heavy) and forecast to stay that way for most of the day.

Phoned old work to tell them I'll pop in tomorrow to pick up the forks that got delivered there in error(mine) as we are having a mooch around Cambridge .

Ages ago I was moaning about expecting loads of leaves and sycamore seed things being expected to land in teh garden in the next months or so

and "asked" you and other influential members to arrange for the wind to be from the North when they fall so they land on the "black path" at the back

and you did!!!

or so I assume - loads of leave fallen and grass still visible in the garden!
