Another pulsating Friday night match, but once again it looks like the referee’s influence could tip the balance.

WRU say there will be three regions, based in West Wales, Cardiff, and East Wales.

What a cracking match. Saints came out on fire, then fell apart, then recovered.
Thankfully Woodenthorpe's massive howler didn't impact the result or the bonus points for either side.

Tommy Freeman showed who was the wingers boss on the pitch tonight!

Big game tomorrow.

A top match.
Lovely to see Mr Farrell jnr having one of his pouts.

Looking forward to that Bath Bristol derby. Hope it is played at the same pace.
Something the Welsh regions can only dream about.

Bath playing crazy rugby into a gale. Kicks going backwards but still they persist. Finn Russell already charged down 3 times.
Keep the ball in hand, lads.

Is Rugby League classed as rugby too, of the purposes of the thread?

Anyhoo, the First Test is boiling up nicely - and there was a definite forward pass in the buildup to the Aussie try.

Anyone understand how the Oghre try was allowed?
1. Stepped into field
2. Dummied
3. Throws to front man must be straight
4. In any event Bath had also jumped

Just been clarified that TMO could not intervene and ref's decision was incorrect but could not be change - ridiculous

Bristol don't like rolling away at the breakdoen

Feisty

Apparently the TMO can’t spot a hooker throwing in from a metre in field, but can spot a 2 inch knock on, on the floor, every time.

Bonkers second half,,
Fitzharding some player but the cause of so much unnecessary niggle - utter plonker in that regard.

Scoreline was fitting in the end, but Bath made hard work of it, hindered by the TMO, and Tempest being reluctant to card Bristol early enough for persistent infringements in the red zone.

The post try restart and exra sxtra time was bonkers

It appears to be a "Kick & Clap" only thread, but as per usual I fear England will be outclassed, which is not surprising as the NRL is the top dog in sports in Australia
