In the context of this weekend, Gloucester’s Friday night performance stands head and shoulders above the rest of the Gallagher teams.
Leicester just joined the ranks of those comprehensively beaten.
With Exeter facing the daunting task of Toulouse in France, it seems certain that only the Saints will register a tick in the win column.

Of course as soon as I post the above. Toulouse in all sorts of trouble. Both centres off injured, a red and a yellow card and the bench already empty with 35 minutes left.
Exeter lead is just 2 points however…… until Antoine Dupont, of all people gifts Exeter another 7 points.

Sounds like Exeter should have had a draw.
I wonder if the English teams are struggling with the interpretations of some of the referees. Piardi certainly didn't referee like an English ref last night - frankly he was dreadful in comparison to what the Prem sees each week. I know Bath failed to resource too mny breakdowns, but he ignored (with my one eye) Montpellier players diving off their feet over the top, and coming in from the side and interfering with the 9. I know players should be able to adapt, but the English teams seem to be on the wrong side.

Something tells me that DB can have no complaints about Christophe Ridley’s refereeing tonight.

A brutal encounter.
Seems like a bad injury for Santi Carreras too.

A phenomenal match for such a low scoring game. Bath had so much of the encounter but lacked the killer punch.
Gloucester’s defence was out of this world, led by Jac Morgan. And those two line breaks!
Can someone explain to me how on earth the commentator experts managed not to give him the MotM?

Jac Morgan was superb, should have been MotM.
Gloucester defended brilliantly though lucky to only have 3 yellows, but given then won those periods 16=0, probably a good thing it was "only" the three.
Bath are just too inaccurate - they've fallen off a cliff since the Bordeaux game.
If you can't score the points with that anount of superiority, and yet again fail to score in the second half, defeat is exactly what you deserve.

Been a long time since Gloucester beat Bath, but they totally deserved it tonight.

Must be weird for Aussie commentators to be so complimentary of an English team.
