I beleive the Bath vs Gloucester Prem Cup game is on TNT today, ko at 3.00 pm.
Two pretty strong sides out, winner goes to the semis

Currently 33-19 to Bath. Glaws had pulled in back to a 7 point game and Bath’s prop got binned for being stupid (smashed the ball into the back of the head in a player who was on the ground having made a tackle and not released his foot after the whistle blew) but Bath just scored whilst a man short.

Now scored another try whilst still down a man

I'm confused.

He got what his action deserved...a yellow...but it was never a yellow?

No, Ludlow was being a niggly tw@t holding the ankle after the whistle, so a relatively gentle smack on the head with the ball was deserved.
The TMO pushing for a yellow was an utter joke given both players could have been penalised.

Anyway, Ludlow once again lost.

The yellow was typical Ludlum - he got what his action deserved - penalty yes, yellow, never.

Bath very clinical

I don’t see how accidental contact with the head is a yellow but deliberately making contact with the head (albeit with the ball but hard enough to make the guys face hit the ground and bounce off it) shouldn’t have been. Yeah, he was being nightly but ultimately holding someone’s ankle for a few seconds when play is dead isn’t doing much harm.

I strongly suspect it wasn't close to the first time Ludlow had done something similar today.
I don't dispute that under the lwas, van Wyk was daft to do what he did and it was a penalty against Bath, but the game does need to address the instigators of these incidents.
Anyway, it doesn't matter, and Bath won that period 12-7

It was nice to watch a game played in lovely conditions. I was glad it was pretty competitive and not just a walkover. Three of the four matches were extremely close results, especially given the high scoring. Would have liked to have been able to watch Saints Sarries, given they were only separated by a solitary conversion.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
The Six Nations championship trophy has sustained fire damage and will be replaced for 2027.

After the latest round of the tournament, the vehicle transporting the trophy was caught up in an incident. No one was injured but the trophy was so damaged that it cannot be fully restored.

A new replacement will be manufactured for next year's event.

Interesting first half. Felt like a battering was on the cards until the disallowed Irish try. Felt the ref was a bit lenient with Ireland when he only gave a warning after 2 penalties in about a minute just outside the 5m line. I don’t know if it’s just biased watching but it felt like a try was inevitable when Ireland were going through the phases whereas when it was Wales I was expecting a turnover or penalty to be conceded. Carre is showing a keen eye for a try in this tournament, he looks more of a threat than LRZ!
