Exeter thoroughly deserved their win against a Leicester side that looked anything other than a top 3 team.
The pointless Tigers look to be heading for an away spot, with Bath very much in line for the home draw.

This result means Bristol’s slim hopes of qualifying are gone.

Nothing in it for Leicester. They are in exactly the same position than if they had won and got a bonus point. OK, they would have been above Bath, but the last game of the season still determines which one plays at home.

Wow, no one saw that result at 3 pm today. fantastic second half from Exeter.
No Bath fans expected to still be in second after Friday.

Next weekend will see two monumental games - hopefully home wins!

I'm hoping not!

Would loved to have been down there in Bath next Saturday. Gorgeous setting for their ground. Sadly, Dad duties prevail, and I will be in sunny Stourport instead.

Well you say that, but they were defending an undefeated ground record of 15 months, there was a capacity crowd and then there’s the question of momentum.
In the past few weeks they have looked and played some outstanding rugby. Today they made far too many errors.

Exeter leap frogging Leicester means it’s another Friday night midlands derby and a West Country Saturday showdown.
Not that I will be around to watch them.

That was a superb match. Problem was I didn’t want either side to win, I’ve never minded Saints in the past but the Pollack factor came into play. I did enjoy his try being chalked off but it would have been funnier if that cost the game.

What a defensive effort there by Exeter. I’d fallen asleep as I’m a bit unwell at the moment and woke to a lot of noise, managed to look at the blurry scores and was surprised by the score but it looked like a Bath score was inevitable. Even after I woke they must have had a dozen phases

Bath scored at least twice at the end, very poor by officals not to check any of the 3 potential groundings.

Bath dominated the first hald, Exeter changed their front row early in the second and they turned it round.

Congrats to Exeter, superb defence at the end and not their fault the TMO would jump in.

It would have been theft, but loads of watchers are convinced we got it down at least twice at the end.
What's annoying is no review.
It didn't change the result, but JoCo's yelllow was totally wrong - the officals all season have got those accidental knock ons wrong. He's clearly trying to knock it up to then regather.
Also the TMO calling a knock on from the jump that wasn;t, or certainly wouldn't have been given if it was a pass.

As I say, it would have been robbery if Bath had nicked it at the end, but as a fan, you don't care if that happens!

Exeter have put a really impressive run together in the last 4/5 weeks

Yes, I’m gutted for Bath but Exeter have timed their run perfectly. Momentum in sport is everything. Hope they finish the job next week, that would be quite a story.
