It would have been theft, but loads of watchers are convinced we got it down at least twice at the end.
What's annoying is no review.
It didn't change the result, but JoCo's yelllow was totally wrong - the officals all season have got those accidental knock ons wrong. He's clearly trying to knock it up to then regather.
Also the TMO calling a knock on from the jump that wasn;t, or certainly wouldn't have been given if it was a pass.

As I say, it would have been robbery if Bath had nicked it at the end, but as a fan, you don't care if that happens!

Exeter have put a really impressive run together in the last 4/5 weeks

I was asleep at the start of the move but in all the phases I saw I never once saw Bath players even appeal for a try (there were a few times I thought they must have been over the line but always short) so I’m guessing they never thought they’d scored. The ref usually has the best view in that situation and it’s rare for them to not get it checked if they have any doubt at all.

The thing I find most odd is how in those situations, when it’s all or nothing, the defending side is able to avoid giving penalties whereas at any other time someone will commit an offence.

Bath scored at least twice at the end, very poor by officals not to check any of the 3 potential groundings.

Bath dominated the first hald, Exeter changed their front row early in the second and they turned it round.

Congrats to Exeter, superb defence at the end and not their fault the TMO would jump in.

Didn't look like they scored from here 🙄

I made every effort while here in Mallorca and saw the last half an hour. Switched on and saw it was 26-10 and thought Bath had it in the bag. Trouble is they dropped the bag.
Switching off is one thing but that clueless last 5 minutes of brute force. I just knew it was going to end up with a held up over the line.
If only there had been to number 10 by the name of Ford to convert the easiest of drop goals……..
Gutted.

That was a superb match. Problem was I didn’t want either side to win, I’ve never minded Saints in the past but the Pollack factor came into play. I did enjoy his try being chalked off but it would have been funnier if that cost the game.

It fascinates me how so many people seem to dis Pollock. He's a great player, brimming with confidence and skill, speed and commitment to back it up. I'm sure you'd love him if he were playing for the club you support . . .

He was excellent on Friday because he cut out almost all the showmanship and focussed on being the rugby player he can be. He's clearly got a huge engine, is quick and is happy to carry.
What people dislike are things like his premature celebrating in the England France match when the game wasn't won, and subsequently was lost. Or coming on in the Tigers Saints league match a few weeks ago when his side were getting humped and trying to start fights left right and centre.
He hasn't shown much of the ethos of the game far too often which all juniors are taught as they progress through minis. He's always the first to be in on a potential camera shot / photo, ,making it all about him, not the other players.
People generally recognise he has huge talent, but there's no need for him to act like a dick (or a pillock!!) quite as often on the pitch.

I think the fact he's in a photo or video shot is probably more down to the cameraman than Pollock himself. As far as rugby goes, he's box office - look at any rugby promo (Saints, or England) and he's the face of it and, as he's now under Hearns, I would think you're going to see a lot more of it - he certainly embraces it but it is fostered by the media.

Interested in what "ethos" of the game he should be showing . . .

Nothing worse than a bad winner.
Enjoy the moment, but gloating like you have is pathetic and has no part in the ulture of rugby.

Any clues who you think might have been doing that?

He is all those things but he's also an arrogant ar$e which is a shame. Up there with the likes of Guscott , Healy, Brown etc. and it applies to players in teams I support too (Henson, early career Biggar).

Yes, the line betwixt confidence and arrogance is a very fine one sometimes! I don't think Ronaldo (7) or Zidane for instance, would have been the great players they were without that touch of arrogance

Thing is, he's still very early in his career and hasn't really achieved anything of note yet to justify the arrogance.
