Ridge on the party wall and a central valley for each property coupled with a parapet to the front, everything's been done to ensure as much water as possible doesn't get away - probably 4" x 2" rafters rotted to buggery.

I liked Hardy and The Mayor of Casterbridge, which I studied at A-level.

I disliked immensely George Eliot and Middlemarch, also 'studied' (I never got past the first page) at A-level.

Guess which appeared in the A-level exam!

Never liked John Irving (what's with the bears?), although I did try.

The Americans are a very sentimental lot and Frost has far too much folksy whimsy for me. Does anyone still read him once they are out of their teens?
