Wooden ships, both sides of the Atlantic.
By the way, the Story Brothers are still active building wooden ships in Essex, although they are the last. There is a shipbuilding museum there, and they are trying to revive the industry. Essex Mass. is also where the fried clam was invented, so that makes it a popular place for seafood restaurants and tourism.

It's actually a Yacht rather then a cruse ship. All on board are 'residents' who have bought apartments on the boat.

In 1981 I went on the schools ship SS Uganda round the Baltic Sea, in 1982 it was converted to a hospital ship for the Falklands War - in her pomp:

I went on the Uganda in 1973. Hampshire schools always went out on the first cruise of the season, so sailed from Southampton to the Med. The Bay of Biscay in late October was interesting for those of a delicate constitution. Did Malaga, Santorini, Athens/Piraeus and Dubrovnik. All for £76.
