I think it may be a tad quiet in here today, what with half the forum members disappearing off to Lancashire.

This thread gives those of us that aren't taking part in the ride a chance to talk about the participants behind their backs and record for history what we did the day Colin made his famous comeback appearance

I'll set the ball rolling....

I have just finished a 12hr night shift so I'm going to bed. When I get up I will be going to Slattery's for afternoon tea

I jibbed out on the basis I was planning to be in China. That hasn't happened, but I have to take son #2 to football this am and cricket this pm and then son #1 to swimming after that. And some work stuff in between so not much chance for a ride

Taking the bike back to the shop I had it serviced last week, as the DI2 no longer works, It was fine for 3000 winter miles and then they service it and it stops. May be going back to analogue!

I've just got back from a 20 mile local loop ready to take number 1 son to his football match. When I suggested getting the mountain bikes out and riding the half mile along the local paths to the game I got the most withering of looks a nine year old could give with a comment of "I want to score goals, I don't need to be tired by the time I get to the pitch." FFS
