I've just got back from a 20 mile local loop ready to take number 1 son to his football match. When I suggested getting the mountain bikes out and riding the half mile along the local paths to the game I got the most withering of looks a nine year old could give with a comment of "I want to score goals, I don't need to be tired by the time I get to the pitch." FFS

How does he normally get to the matches H?

Away matches we run a lift share, home normally ride the bikes. The pitch can't be much more than half a mile or so. suspect he is just being a pre teen lazy teenager. He has happily ridden 10 miles plus with me in the past.

Had me second bout of physio so I'm walking slightly less like ive been violated in strangeways bottom block showers.....still not able to pull me socks on stood up though. Keeping meself for next weekend in Afan.

Any how I am using the time liberated by my absence from the Back from The Ailment tour to:

Bake a chocolate cake
Paint some fence panels
Make some chocolate ganache
Sort out a mini cycling adventure in France at Easter.
Put a bottle of Muscadet in the fridge to chill
Coating the chocolate cake with the cooled ganache.
Testing my Thermarest for leaks
Celebrate being in Yorkshire
Celebrate not being in Lancashire
Having a lie down to recover from the celebrations
Watching Metropolis after my lie down
Drinking some chilled Muscadet during the watching of Metropolis.
Wonder where today has gone.
Remember where today has gone.
Re-celebrate not being in Lancashire.
