This "towd grey Fergy" was put on display at a local farm a few years ago looking a bit dusty and neglected now I think it's a petrol/TVO from memory

Repair I'd say. In running condition, that is still worth a bit.

Although the cost of a gearbox repair on most modern tractors with super-sophisticated gearboxes can run to many thousands.

Yes, petrol as I spy a carb, although the air intake pipe seems to be missing. I can't quite see if the vapourising kit is present.

An approximately 2L engine made by the Standard Motor company and related to what is found under the bonnet of the Standard Vanguard and Triumph TR2/3 sports cars.

Interesting about the engine origin's, used to be thousands all over at one time super little work horse and the first tractor I drove about age 13
