I took delivery of my brand new Zafira yesterday - 15 miles on the clock. It's red.

To my mind, if it were a woman, it would be Kim Wilde - of today, not 1981. Overweight, ok looking from the right angle if a bit plain. But very practical and useful.

Many more of us and Shaun will have to start a Zafira owners forum, with sub forum a for model A, B and Tourer owners.

Reading earlier posts on this thread have brought on flashbacks of every old Cavalier I used to drive as private hire taxis years ago.
Dreading U turns coz it sounded like I was driving newly weds to the airport, towing a dozen empty cans....bloody c v joints!

309 1.9gti i needed a boot..the 205 was fab looking..
mates had the original 1.6 golfs and later 1.8's superb cars..
rs turbos mmmmm loved them too,but the saphire cossy was a sheer lust i want car..never did tho
I drove a sapphire cosworth a few times, 1989 iirc, in stone blue. Fantastic steering feel and 220hp in those days (lighter cars) was pdq.

I do like Vauxhalls...
We have a 1993 Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 that died recently.. Were not sure exactly how many miles it has done as the Odometer doesn't work and hasn't since we had it. But we know that we have done 100,000 in it since weve had it easily.. It spat its dummy out and blew out two spark plugs the other day and has been replaced with a pug diesel. Ill be keeping it and putting another engine into it eventually though.
My mother, until recently had a 1997 Corsa that she bought new, off the showroom floor, as she wanted silver
She had it until, about August, when it had only covered 37,600 miles!!!

Now she's got a '13' plate(?) Corsa
It's huge in comparison, with bugger all room internally, & seemingly a very restricted view (due to higher door-sills/thicker pillars)
Plus, it's the 3-cylinder version, so it sounds like a bag of bolts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Granted, it lived outside, had faded paint, the plastic bumpers were a light grey by that time, but it was 'on the button

I had a Mk1 Cavalier. A lovely motor and still looks pretty today -

My dad had a -door version, when I was about 16 - 18, I learnt to drive (well, the usual fundamentals in it)
This is the only picture (previously scanned) that I have of it, outside a relatives house

Years ago i had an Opel Ascona SR...(not my car below)

Back axle or diff used to drone away like a power station. Otherwise a rock solid car

Someone in the street, when I was a teenager had the 2-door version
I always thought it looked far more sporty than the Cavalier

Well I suppose if there's an owners club for Morris Marinas there should be one for Vectras tooxx(

Oi!!! A Morris Marina was my first car if you don't mind. :boxing:

It had rusted to bits by year seven though.

Ours always started first time every time, never wanted anything apart from the usual stuff like a oil change, filters, tyres and brakes. Was always good on fuel. Never let us down until the other day even through all of the abuse we put it through, it served us well.

A friend of a friend crashed his newer shape corsa this is what it looked like after -

I personally dont like the newer corsas but would have another corsa "B" in a hearbeat. Actually really want to get our old one fixed and back on the road as a runabout.

My ex (And now probably late) father in law had a "Mars Bar" Chevette. The one in this photo doesn't do it justice as it really was quite nice looking -
