My pronouns are "He", "Him" and "buggerlugs"
Had a go in the A3 - hated it. Too low. Same with Beamer and both far too small.
I took delivery of my brand new Zafira yesterday - 15 miles on the clock. It's red.
To my mind, if it were a woman, it would be Kim Wilde - of today, not 1981. Overweight, ok looking from the right angle if a bit plain. But very practical and useful.
I drove a sapphire cosworth a few times, 1989 iirc, in stone blue. Fantastic steering feel and 220hp in those days (lighter cars) was pdq.309 1.9gti i needed a boot..the 205 was fab looking..
mates had the original 1.6 golfs and later 1.8's superb cars..
rs turbos mmmmm loved them too,but the saphire cossy was a sheer lust i want car..never did tho
My mother, until recently had a 1997 Corsa that she bought new, off the showroom floor, as she wanted silverI do like Vauxhalls...
We have a 1993 Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 that died recently.. Were not sure exactly how many miles it has done as the Odometer doesn't work and hasn't since we had it. But we know that we have done 100,000 in it since weve had it easily.. It spat its dummy out and blew out two spark plugs the other day and has been replaced with a pug diesel. Ill be keeping it and putting another engine into it eventually though.
Years ago i had an Opel Ascona SR...(not my car below)

Back axle or diff used to drone away like a power station. Otherwise a rock solid car
Plus;
I always fancied(still do!!) a Chevette 2300HS, or HSR
Well I suppose if there's an owners club for Morris Marinas there should be one for Vectras too![]()
Ours always started first time every time, never wanted anything apart from the usual stuff like a oil change, filters, tyres and brakes. Was always good on fuel. Never let us down until the other day even through all of the abuse we put it through, it served us well.My mother, until recently had a 1997 Corsa that she bought new, off the showroom floor, as she wanted silver. She had it until, about August, when it had only covered 37,600 miles!!!
Now she's got a '13' plate(?) Corsa
It's huge in comparison, with bugger all room internally, & seemingly a very restricted view (due to higher door-sills/thicker pillars)
Plus, it's the 3-cylinder version, so it sounds like a bag of bolts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Granted, it lived outside, had faded paint, the plastic bumpers were a light grey by that time, but it was 'on the button
My ex (And now probably late) father in law had a "Mars Bar" Chevette. The one in this photo doesn't do it justice as it really was quite nice looking -

View attachment 115404I used to have a Chevette, as my first car
Buy it!!!!There's a Shovit HS slowly returning nature in someones garden in Newport Pagnell. See it as I occasionally drive by.
If your good with a welder... its never too far goneI think it may be too far gone. It's been there 20 years that I can remember.
