Get yourself out to 'Eefrow then; such conditions (with wind as an added bonus) await you on a permanent basis and it's only an hour away by BA airbus .
Felt like we were at Ground Zero last night.
Constant lightening all round us and the thunder sounded like explosions.
Power went off for 2 hours.
Most spectacular storm I've seen.
Was a nice temperature at 17° at the start of my ride in today. Was 20° by the time I got to the office. Going to be rather a warm ride home. Supposed to be about 29 or 30°
It's absolutely roasting here. It must be hotter, more stifling than any day we had in summer. I've just been for a walk/limp of about 2 miles and i'm knackered!
I forgot to mention something that I had on my mind ... Watch out for gravel on country roads after that storm!
I was up on what appeared to be 'ground zero' earlier today and there were big stretches of the stuff just where cyclists don't want it. It is amazing how much gravel torrents of water can wash out of fields and ditches. Those same roads were fine a few days ago.
