Sales calls, their latest tactic seems to be opening the conversation with "hiya are you alright?"

Plenty of the Chuggers around at the moment. I try to ignore them but they get short shrift if they try to badger me.

Yesterday I tried to help a couple at Aldi trying to unlock the trolley. We were waiting for them to get theirs out. He was putting in his special token instead of a £1 coin and it would`nt free. I kindly pointed out that his token (with hole in) was still attached to it`s fob and thus would not go in far enough. Simples me thinks. All I got was " it`s always worked before". I kept quiet and he stood aside and we put out £1 in and went inside. Inside Aldi they were still moaning at what I had said. Next time I won`t bother. I think possibly it was because they had some new trolleys.

Thread resurrections - Unless it's an impressively long time gap, then they are just annoying too... Especially when someone says

Why do all couples under 50 have to have a child, a van and an untrained dog?

Especially if the guy is some sort of 'new age' person with long hair, is covered in tattoos and piercings and whom looks like he's been dragged through a hedge backwards.

There's always a certain look.

Either that or it's the chunky guy with the big beard, tats piercings, etc.

They all think they are SO different from everyone else and yet, then look exactly the same as each other! 🤦‍♂️

Nothing today but yesterday as I walked up the main pedestrian thoroughfare in town, a large section dug up, fenced off....and left for a few weeks now, no sign of anything actually happening.
How does this work ? It's like a cancer on this country, start work, cone everything off...then bugger off for weeks on end.
Why ?
