Anyone in here a member? Anything particularly good in the current range(s)?
I'm a member, and have never had anything duff, and have some that are very good, like the Exhibition ranges, but do they do anything (affordable) that is great?I am, and I've never had a duff bottle from them.

Well, that rather depends on what you like.
On Friday, I had some Royal Tokaji Late Harvest 2009 - a very sweet desert wine. It was every bit as good as the 2007 Aszu 5 pyttonyos, but nearly half the price - £11 rather than £21.
The South Of France mixed red case has half a dozen different wines, and they're all very good, and very good value at £6.50 per bottle. One of those (and I'm part-way through a bottle right now) is the Domaine Laborie V d P d'Oc at £5.25. Rhone mix of grapes, and I'd serve it at a dinner party with no hesitation. As I would the Domaine Hochar 2004 - £10.95 of spicy, mature red from Lebanon.
The Pelorus 2006 is better than any Champagne at under £25 IMHO - it's £18.
Like Beaujolais? The Depagneux Gamay is great, and at £4.95 it's a couple of pounds cheaper at least.
I came to the conclusion that the Wine Society offered a broader selection of wines at better value prices than the Times/Laithwaites clubs so left one and joined t'other.
