Our garden is very small but at least it's pretty rural around here

Just like us - postage stamp garden, surrounded by land which someone else has the pleasure of being responsible for. Win-win.

They sometimes put sheep on the closest field. At night its quite eerie shining a torch into the field and all you can see is dozens of pairs of eyes reflecting back at you!

I’ve jumped out of my skin a few times thanks to one of them suddenly coughing quite loudly in the middle of the night, a few feet from our bedroom window.

OT: @cisamcgu - loved the automatic bell player in your blog. I can almost imagine it getting loose and flattening fleeing citizens, scoring them with the sound of music.

I've never counted, but maybe seven or eight? (I keep mine at home, but quite a lot of these houses are divided into flats, so space is an issue. These shelters have been appearing throughout the borough over the last three or four years - all seem to be very well used.)

I think the lockdown is getting to you @anothersam.

Oddly, there really is a range of volcanos in the hills in the distance, so it would have looked like that at one point.

Houses are a bit more recent though.
