Oh, I so hope it is. It has felt a long dreary winter with all the rain. All I seem to have done is clean mucky bikes and dogs!I feel like I'm watching a report from a different country when I turn on the news, we have no flooding at all in my local area and no snow.. The mornings seem to be a little brighter and it feels as if spring is just around the corner.
Very odd experience.
I felt that way until yesterday morning when my mother rang me to say it was snowing. I was cycling over to my parents' yet again and took no notice of what she said thinking yeah right... When I got there 2 hours later (its a long ride) it had indeed snowed and was melting and there was more flooding at her end than mine... We have our usual flood points here, but they were worse last winter than this winter. I'm just glad I don't live in Surrey anymore. I used to live in an area not far from the River Wey and know how bad it could get - not that the house we used to live in would ever be flooded - just getting to the house would be impossible.I feel like I'm watching a report from a different country when I turn on the news, we have no flooding at all in my local area and no snow.. The mornings seem to be a little brighter and it feels as if spring is just around the corner.
Very odd experience.
