Oh, I so hope it is. It has felt a long dreary winter with all the rain. All I seem to have done is clean mucky bikes and dogs!

I felt that way until yesterday morning when my mother rang me to say it was snowing. I was cycling over to my parents' yet again and took no notice of what she said thinking yeah right... When I got there 2 hours later (its a long ride) it had indeed snowed and was melting and there was more flooding at her end than mine... We have our usual flood points here, but they were worse last winter than this winter. I'm just glad I don't live in Surrey anymore. I used to live in an area not far from the River Wey and know how bad it could get - not that the house we used to live in would ever be flooded - just getting to the house would be impossible.

Well I'm only in a Yellow wind warning area, but I've been thoroughly soaked and blown off the road (luckily onto a common), could have been the opposite way. Take care especially those in the areas that are worse.

Sod that. The last time i went cycling on ice (Long towpath) I was so exhausted from concentrating after 6 miles that I turned around and went home. Can't handle riding with a puckered ringpiece for that long.
