That it seems implied the tailbacks are the cyclists fault?

Either way I hope she makes a full recovers!

Exactly, and on top of that there's no mention in the title of the vehicle she collided with that contributed to her sustaining 'leg injuries'.

It's bad enough the government provide scant infrastructure, and this is made worse by the crap media coverage of incidents.

I am sure its allways "x cyclist collided with x vehicle" too, never the other way around?

As in it always the cyclists fault.

disagree

the cyclist is the subject so it's natural to lead with them, two parties in collision is neutral

I've seen a "cyclist" collide with a pedestrian..... the cyclist had both feet on the ground, and the ped walked groin-first into the cyclist's front wheel... the ped then looked at the cyclist as if to say "wot ya doin mate - watch where your going".... unfortunately the ped was playing with his phone, and had music blasting through earphones.... but people still gave the cyclist disapproving looks...

I didn't read it the same way as you, it seemed pretty neutral. To me "in collision with" does not apportion blame.

JMHO

Anyway, the most important thing is I hope she a full and swift recovery.

Doesn't matter what I have seen in London means Cyclists are total knobs just like Motorists.

There are cycling knobs all over the country, not just london. I scalped a bloke on Sunday in Beverley, and stopped at a red light. He just went over onto the wrong side of the road to overtake me and the car at the lights before swooping left at the junction and riding away. Needless to say, I made extra effort to scalp him again further along.

I've launched a pedestrian who forgot the highway code of looking both ways before walking out in front of me on our not so great cycle lane in between stopped cars.I stopped dead on her,it had to hurt but she just got up and bolted before i could see if she was OK.....of course the looks from the numpties in their boxes was "it's his fault"

Woman cyclist its probably her fault thats the first thing i thought anyway.

"Woman cyclist, It's probably her fault".

That's Blazed's first impression of what the article was saying.

Same as mine.

Not so good grammar Blazed. Got some respondents confused.
