I sold some cycling boots on the ctc and now the buyer wants to return them.
Apparently they dont think they are as good as they thought even though they were a bargain at the price they bought them .
Now as its paypal gift they cant ask paypal for a refund (?) and tbh i think they are whining after they had said at the price they are worth a chance .

I am not sure what to say apart from ebay them tbh or refund them and be stuck with a pair of boots that dont fit me .

It is a private buy, so sold as seen. I would ignore it all.

I would take them back only if they pay the postage, you have the hassle of selling them again but the feel good factor of being a good bloke.

If item is 'as described' then sounds like a bit of arm chancing to me...
I listed as only worn a few times, maybe 10 commutes and it has used but good condition cleats .The velcro had a bit off fluff/ thread on it from the other side which is what thy are moaning about.
Apart from that they got winter boots that go for around £100 new for less than £30

If you described them correctly then that's the end of the contract of sale. They now have title. However @Afnug is right in that you may wish to have them back as a matter of godwill. They will have to stump up postage.

Is it a lot of money involved?

What size are they and are they SPD ? If they are size 10 and you take them back I will take them off your hands for what you sold them at

Some people always want something for nothing so if you're happy with description...
As said above goodwill gesture of refund of purchase price after confirming goods returned in same condition may be good karma

Good point mr messy- what if they've damaged them and just want to palm them off back to you.... at 70% discount they could sell them easily themselves if they really don't want them- if they were new then a refund would have been reasonable.

Tell them if they post them back to you at their expense, you'll assess that they are in the same condition or not as sold and refund them a percentage up to 100% accordingly, less a rental fee for the time they've loaned them from you ;)
