They've got a bloody good deal for 30 quid. They'd make far more on
ebay, especially if listed in the Autumn.
Personally, I'd have told them to do that. Or, taken them back (minus expenses) and then ebayed them myself.

The 1st point you did not pay a total of £35 , you paid £30 for them including postage .I received £28.78 after paypal fees , i have documented proof in my paypal account.
Postage was £2.80
it was a paypal gift not a sales transaction so not subject to dispute.
They had been worn maybe about 10 times
Brand new they had cost over £100
You said you were happy to take a chance on them, so basically you have got winter boots for a a third of the price.
IN the spirit of fair play i will take them back but i will pay you £ 25.98 after you have returned them and i have inspected them to ensure they are in the same condition as i posted them.Payment will be sent if they are.
Alternatively you can resell them on eg ebay and link me the webpage which i can track and i will forward to you any shortfall ."
