Things I can never remember

In 1968 a fella I was working with borrowed ten bob and never paid me back, but ask me what I was doing half an hour ago and I can't remember.
I was using a old computer today with an operating system I haven't used this century (Mac OS 9.1). Found I still remembered which menu has the "empty trash" option. But forgot to get milk on the way home.

Vantage

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
I sometimes forget what I was gonna type when answering a post. I end up having to go back and re read the post I was gonna answer then type it all out again.
Always forgetting my pills and insulin injections.
Must've wired a couple hundred plugs over the years...still forget which colour wire is live neutral and earth.
Ahhhh Google.

My MiL was in her late 70's and went on a coach trip with some veterans including the Arnhem Bridges

On the way back they stopped off and were told to return to a particular point where there was a phone box and some bushes

She did and nothing happened. An hour later she still hadn't been picked up so stopped a local Policeman, and it turned out she had chosen the wrong telephone box.

After a quick visit to the right place, he took her to the Police Station who contacted the organisers.... the coach had forgotten her, left without her and was half way back to the ferry port. They could not turn round as they would miss the ferry.

No problem, she was put in a Police Car who then blue lighted her to the ferry port where she was reunited with the coach

It was the highlight of the break for her

The front door......

You know for certain that you switched the alarm on and locked the door because you do it every day, and never, ever put the keys in your pannier until you have done so......

You know for certain that you did it this morning on the way out....

But get on the bike and 500 yards down the road there is that little niggling doubt....

By 750 yards it is a screaming and nagging doubt.......

... and you have to go back and check

Oh yeah... and what order the green, yellow & brown are placed on a snooker table..
That one is easy

I remember a coach trip to the Cotswold Market in Morton In The Marsh many years ago and we called at Stratford In Avon on the way back. When we got back to the coach there were two people missing, the coach driver waited for them then did a tour of Stratford's coach parking places before coming back to the original parking place and waiting some more, eventually he made a call then left for Coventry without them. I've often wondered what happened to them.
