Similarly I was overtaken by a vicar in full dog collar garb on his black bike. I was slogging up a hill and he breezed past me. Happily (for me) I could hear the slight hum of the motor on his ebike.

In Germany you will be overtaken by many.
There is a massive subculture of electrically assisted bicycles.....I was scalped by an elderly couple whilst fully loaded on a tour down the Rhine. I caught up with the bloke and jokingly accused him of being electrically assisted....he totally denied it
despite the hum and the battery pack.

A tank. That's the sort of tank which features tracks and a large gun. I did hold it off for about 2km though. I was going downwind along the east end of Wensleydale, where there is a tank training area. The road undulates consistently and they only barely had the top speed to pass me at all, let alone in the visible distance, so they were clattering along for quite a while before I deliberately slowed and signalled to allow the noise to get past.
