How you rate them depends on where you live a lot of the time.
I was a nurse for 20 years and have seen it decline during that time...government red tape, funding issues and the strain placed on services by the influx of people coming into the UK, have turned it into a very fragile service.
NHS staff are wonderful (saved my life a couple of times!) it's all the other issues that bring it down - IMO.
