It's a horrible contrast to the Stena Hollandia, its sister ship that plies the same route from Harwich to the Hoek and back. In contrast to the delightful Dutch crew, the Brits are a bunch of surly jobsworths......and the lavatory in my cabin smelled of piss.

If you choose overnight sailings in both directions, you can't avoid using the British ship. The Dutch ship does the Harwich to Hoek trip, and the Brits do the Hoek to Harwich one. Actually, the British ferry isn't totally awful, just a shocking contrast to the Dutch one.
