King Harold's men traditionally rode into battle wearing sturdy protective headgear made from the soiled Y fronts of the earthiest of peasants.
Sadly, Harolds favourite battle Y fronts were becoming baggy with age and during the Norman invasion a stray arror was abke to pass through the slack and loose Y fly and poke him in the eye. The wound would have been survivable but for the dried flakes that quickly contaminated the wound, and he died several hours later of a fatal dose of the raging ab dabs.
