They are very good in vegetable curries. I usually nuke one in my fancy microwave and add its contents to my big vat of curry towards the end of cooking. That thickens the curry nicely.

I got into the habit as a student of doing a huge curry and freezing any spare portions for times when I couldn't be bothered to cook from scratch. I get 6 generous helpings per cooking session.

I am sure that it does for you carnivores, but it is 39 years since I last ate bacon or any other meat***, so I'll give it a miss!





***Apart from the infamous Pepperoni Pizza incident in 1988... (I had worked a crazy 36 hours without leaving the office and was so tired & hungry that I picked up the first pizza in the pile and ate it without remembering that I had been vegetarian for 5 years! )

I had my first eggy-crumpet today... like eggy-bread but with a crumpet instead of bread. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a crumpet so much!

Holy thread resurrection, my works I phone was down to 26% this morning when I started work so I thought that I would give it half an hour before plugging it in.

So I positioned it on top of a power bank that was charging and after having my second cuppa this morning I noticed that the phone was now showing 58% and I thought how.... Then I realised that it must have been recharging by just laying on top of the power bank.

Ok nothing too strange I hear you all shout but I wasn't aware that either the cheap power bank and the old I phone se was able to do these two things
