Things you have misheard or misread

I was just watching the news there and a thing came on about the Cricket. I heard it as

'The Lashes Test'

I now have a mental image of them all getting whipped over a wooden frame with a cat o' nine tails or whatever.

Either that or it has had some French infiltration and is now the l'Ashes.

What have you misheard recently or, in fact, ever?

Also, the first mishear I ever remember when I was 3 or 4. Bandaid singing 'Feed The World'.

I thought they were singing

'Free The World'

Or

'Heal The World'

They're called "Mondegreens", apparently some writer coined the phrase after realising that the line in a famous 18 cent Scottish poem wasn't something like "the Earl of Moray was slain, and Lady Mondegreen" but was "the Earl of Moray was slain, and laid him on the green".
The other I recall was "Gladly the cross eyed bear" (should be "the cross I'd bear).

The one I recall from school was in my first year, so aged five. I went home and indignantly told my mother that there was someone who was aged seven in the class. Turns out the child's name was Mary Lewis-Evans, which I had heard as "Mary, who is seven".
