People using pocket watches when it isn't some sort of special occasion.

I have one which I use normally from day to day, and have been praised by older people when they see me with it, so I suppose that one doesn't quite count, but anyway.

I have some of those in my recycling box most weeks. I can take a picture if you like? :biggrin:

Sardine tins. They used to undo with a big long thing kinds like the corned beef tin ones, except the whole lid came off. Do they still exist?
And Japanese Sapporo beer. Used to come in a lovely can, that was sort-of tapered, and the entire top came off. You had a ring-pull, and the lid peeled away in a metallic spiral. I loved those cans...
