Theres been programs on BBC 2 about British black music and now there's to be a concert celebrating said British black music.
I'm all for it but the thought does occur if there was a celebration of specifically white music then I suspect there might be an adverse reaction.

There are whole radio stations dedicated to it. They're called Classic FM and Radio 3.

Are they advertised as specifically white music by white musicians though?
That the point in making.

White musicians have dominated the scene (in the west at least) for centuries, so I remain unsurprised there there are no dedicated channels or celebrations. Who apart form the determinedly bloody-minded would listen to them?

Indeed and personally I just listen to music I like regardless of skin colour of those who make it.
However, my point is if there ever was a specifically white concert and or celebration of white musicians and it was the fact they were white was reason for celebrations etc then an eyebrow or two would be raised don't you think? And I'm not talking about some far right underground type thing, this is BBC doing this.
