It** arrived and I assembled it in the family garden gym (a very large shed). I was very impressed by the build quality and its Concept 2-like rowing action. The other family members hadn't wanted to buy a used machine so we bought a new model** from a cheaper brand.

I decided to go the other route though, and just bought a reconditioned Concept 2. (I have seen reviews suggesting that the Merach's data readout might not be as reliable/accurate as that on the gold standard Concept 2 and that troubled my nerdy nature - I want to be able to trust a machine telling me that I beat my PB by x%!)

I am looking forward to supplementing my cycling with indoor rowing, especially over the winter when grotty Yorkshire days often keep me indoors .
