I don't know what it is about cable ends. I've bought several of them over the years and lost them for a bit. Bought replacements and found the originals. Some reason also if I get them loose from a lbs I don't lose them 🤔

Schwinn Passage touring bicycle. The Pink one was a rarity, probably used to finish up the 1986 stock of frames in 1987. I rode the pink one until it became all noodly, then retired it. I got the second, dark blue one, just a month or two ago. A fellow on Bike Forums had listed it, lowered the price twice, then quit listing it. I figured he'd gotten rid of it. Just when I was about to directly contact him, he re-listed at an even lower price. We each drove about 140 miles to get the deal done, which I thought was genuinely nice of him.
