No. I've never been into building rockets. Unless you count adding paper fins to toilet roll tubes etc...

The trains are held on with magnetic wheels, so they grip pretty well. NT held a track section up with a train suspended from it briefly.

There is apparently a shorter single bogie loco in the offing, if long mainline locos aren't your thing.
