Well I bought some 
settled on a pair of look max 2 keos. I settled on the smallest shoe I could get away with, seems to be a very good compromise.
And nearly had my first "clipless moment" but not quite, managed to save my ego
I'll commute in them tomorrow, take it slow untill I get used too them
