I heard Wellgo mtb pedals SPD are compatible with shimano cleats and was thinking of getting a pair of ebay. I've got a pair of sh-56 or 55 cleats already.

I'm pretty surprised with the price some people are willing to pay for second hand shimano pedals.

So i'm either going to go a pair of wellgo or just buy some Shimano m520 new.

Anyone had any experince with the Wellgo pedals. They'll be just for kicking around town on my single speed.

I had wellgo spd mtb pedals on my road bike, and can't tell any difference between those and 'proper' Shimano ones.

That's what i thought. they look like a decent bit of kit.

Just looked at the Wellgo SPD's on eBay - They seem to cost about the same if not more than Shimano pedals? I bought my M530's for around £22 including cleats and find they're great. They're £24 at CRC currently but you will probably find cheaper if you shop around.

Loads of second hand ones on e bay for even cheaper however some do look a bit ropey.
