So what exactly are pilates? (Is it pronounced pie-lates), from a quick google image search it looks like some sort of yoga?

Well tonight pilates was pain, some things I have good balance and muscles but toay was using some muscles in my leg in a sideways motion that I guess you just don't do in cycling, it was painful doing the repetitions.

I did adult ballet class once a week for 14 years. I have better posture an flexibility than most guys half my age (just turned 50) and when people remark about my legs, I tell 'em it's not just cycling:smile:. And don't be put off by being a man doing some activity often thought of as 'just for the girls'. Enjoy it.

Turns out I'm about as graceful as a dying goose.

I found we covered a lot, without too much practice which was a bit unnerving.

All in all, I really enjoyed it.

You will be more graceful when you have the right muscles developed - it's all about control and getting to know your body!
