Yamahas are good in that sense. I've owned a few models over the years, and the "trickle down" from higher-end models seems to be very quick
It probably helps that they also make real pianos. I used to have a Yamaha amp, again cheap but nice, good trem and spring reverb. Wish I still had it.
Someone once told me that the reason Yamaha make good instruments as well as motorbikes is that they use the same airflow modelling for both but I'm skeptical as to how true that is.
