This type of thing is beyond my comprehension, why would anyone want to intentionally maim a horse, cyclist or runner with barbed wire? What do they hope to achieve, The perpetrator has got to be sick in the head to do this or perhaps so bloody stupid they don't realise the damage they could do / have done.

Not as bad as the above but I once cycled past a man just sitting at the edge of a quiet road, I thought it was odd so slowed down and just before I cycled through 2 bollards on a narrow underpass section noticed a trip wire strung across. I squeezed around the side, got out of earshot and rang the police.

I assume he was hoping to get someone off their bike and steal it. Creepy.
