Similar story,it is the reason i took up cycling.I had to stop overtime because my head was allover the place. Then i had too much thinking time on my hands. So to fill the time some nice person told me to get a bike. That was 30m years ago,it has led to a different life.Keep going, you never know what is around the next corner, one day you might need a tandem.

Thank you all so much for the kind words and I am pleased that it has inspired some of you to don the lycra and jump out on the bike.

It has been a tough couple of years but having the bike to hand helps a huge amount in pushing my life in the direction I ideally want to be.

Great achievement and pleased your enjoying riding your bike so much. Hopefully thing will get better regarding seeing your boys though which must be very tough.
Thank you the time I get with them is made extra special because I am not there for them all the time which is a massive positive i have taken from the whole situation.

Well done, in fact a big WELL DONE. Along with that I was just sitting here feeling lazy after a hard swim this morning and you have just given me the incentive to go and have a blast for an hour, thanks sometimes a nudge is all I need.
Thanks i am glad i have given you the incentive to jump on the bike

Haha i am still a slow arse struggle to keep an avg over 12mph on nice flat roads. Put a few hills in and well there will be a lot of hanging around for me to catch up

Steve that's not a problem, that's what Sunday mornings are about

Well if thats the case I may have to pop along for a ride with you. What sort of milage do you do on a sunday as I may have a couple of mates who mighg want to tag along as well?
Sundays are generally about 25miles a loop up to Norton Heath Café the only real hill being Stock on the way back, take a look on the group page , Sunday Morning Breakfast is the ride title, Saturdays 3 groups from 15 -24 mph, sometimes on a Sunday we go along with CCC but not that often.
