I havent gone up it yet with my garmin. I promise to do it soon though.

I expect you to take a KOM, then. We'll look forward to that one being published.

With respect, the climb from the centre of Church Stretton to Pole Bank (the summit of the Long Mynd) is 1036 feet in approx 2.7 miles.

You don't need to have the biggest mountains to have some serious climbs.
Doesn't surprise me if something is bigger, get out of your comfort zone and you'll find the whole world, as said the Scottish Mountains are pimples in comparison to what is out there. ;)

Oh yeah, well aware of that! I was just trying to throw some perspective into this "mine is bigger than yours" contest.

You don't think that when you're half way up one of them! :heat:

Well I didn't like the video. I felt sick watching it, all the rolling around and wonky horizon, one minute shooting down at the road the next up at the heavens then side to side I felt ill. Poor camera setting as a lot of the time the focus was on dark shadow. I didn't even watch to the end. Good idea, but let down by poor camera skills. Sorry. Hopefully you will do better next time.

After helping take the thread a bit off track last night I'd better comment on the film.

Considering you say you hadn't gone out with the intention of making a film I think that's come out okay. As others have said, the camera needs to be level and perhaps fitted to somewhere more steady, but I've seen worse.

The best advice I can offer is that your films should tell a story in some way. This one does that and works because of it.

I really liked your video, my favourite rides are on an empty road when it's just me and the landscape.

How do you get writing onto the video? Do you have to run it through some software post-shoot, apologies if I am behind the times with this!

How do you attach a video camera to yourself in a way that allows you to compose the picture while eliminating vibration and keeping both hands on the bars?
