.. as a car pulled alongside me at the bottom of the road tonight, around 10pm,in a slightly dodgy part of my route, wound his window down, and said..

"34mph there pal, good going"

It was downhill, must have taken him by surprise as I went past, he was about to pull out of a sidestreet but saw my bright light and stopped.

That's about right. Had some chavs pull up next to me going through the lovely Hattersley, though oh no, but the guy shouts out "whay 30". Didn't have the heart to tell him I was really doing 24 - his speedo was way out !
