Just 'cos I can
Who's flying anywhere, or travelling by bus, coach or rail?

No idea who is flying, so giving a running comentary on their flight via the modern miracle that is Flight Radar 24 wouldn't be much use.

Besides, I am not sure this is the right thread for all that gentle sillyness anyway!

Who's shipbound on here? Track him as he moves.

Maybe I should elaborate

  1. Threads in nearly all the other folders are great. It might be a about sticky 105 rear mech or some one needs help with a Sportive prep and starts a fresh thread. Others chip in. It might have been covered extensively in other thread but that is fine. In fact a kind soul will provide a link to an older thread and that too is helpful. i learn from these things immensely
  2. The concern is when a single thread turns out to be a repository for everything and new threads are merged into it. For instance there was a howler by the Greens 2 weeks ago, UKIP had one yesterday. But these are buried in a long thread. The same with Doping report that was released to UCI last week. Very much long awaited and it is also buried in a long thread.
  3. I am ok for the same lot debating on issues with pages running into the hundreds, not an issue. Just prefer news and recent developments to be allowed to surface. Not everyone has the time to trawl thru these threads.
  4. But more importantly it will be good to have others feed into the poll for a collective popular view.

You are bit slow aren't you. Why would anyone care if a thread has million pages and only 4 blokes are debating about splitting hair. The issue is new materials buried in a long thread.

I thought it was a new and exciting way you'd come up with for improving the forum. Last time we had your recommendations for mod education and thread merging, my apologies for not spotting your intentions with this one sooner, it was rather stealthy I thought. Good job.

Think of things this way.
Doping is ongoing and older methods are being used. Equipment changes & new posters to the site often start, by asking what on the surface can be a mindless task for one, but new/impossible for them. You'll therefore have a greater chance of more than two people asking very similar questions. Putting the threads together may just mean that they answer each others question.
