The charm of Thunderbirds (et all) is that is was supermarionation, and not live action or animation or CGI. The puppets, models and dioramas simply worked.

But seeing as the die has been cast,I hope they do a better job that that uttter piffle that was "Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet"

Did you only see the split-in-half version on that saturday tripe show Ministry of Mayhem which edited the show for violence and cut out the opening credits?. Get the uncut DVD's, they're much better.

I thought the explosions were very impressive on Thunderbirds, and inspired my own special effects experiments on various Airfix models as a 34 14 year old boy.
