The pull ratio is different (2:1 v 1:1) - it probably won't work 100% without a shiftmate adaptor, or similar...

Really? According to the 1st table here the sprocket pitch is roughly 3.95mm while each click (assuming Shimano 10 shifter and sram 1.0 rear mech) whould shift only approximately 2.55mm across according to the 3rd table.
