Tight cassette lockring

Thanks very much for the pictures - it is a cassette with lockring.

The solution - my brother went round while I was at work and did it for me! He said it was on ridiculously tight, but he's not a cyclist, so he's got much more upper body strength!

can you phone a friend with strong hands / arms?

getting the chain whip and lock-ring wrench in a position where you can squeeze the together to loosen it is a good technique...

Or cross your forearms so both arms are pulling and not pushing. Gives much more control and saves your knuckles.
