Maybe they weren't previously cyclists so don't have the road sense that a lot of us have already, I'll be putting my application in soon, getting paid to ride a bike sounds fun to me
Its an online application, that has a question similar to this.
Question
You are out on your round delivering mail in a remote area. Your bicycle suddenly develops a puncture. What do you do?
A: Stop your deliveries, pushing your bike to the nearest bikeshop. Getting it repaired there.
B: Push your bike to the nearest telephone and phone, phone back explaining that you cannot continue your round &
ask that someone else be allocated your round.
C: Abandon your round, returning to the sorting office.

What about option D of repairing it yourself?

No option D
I put that, but got told it was the wrong answer as it wasn't on the list of answers provided!! They must think we're incapable of fixing, either with a patch or replacing the innertube, and carrying on. Or does it speak about the expected level of cycling competance of those they're looking to employ?

Most of the ones I've seen around here have bee very 'gutter huggy' :headshake:

Where was the application form Classic, I couldn't find anything to fill in when I looked the other day, sent them an email earlier though.

Done at the local sorting office, along with two other hopefuls. I think I was the only one actually applying for postal deliveries by bike. When going over the answers in the following interview I did point out that as a rule I carry the means of basic repairs, such as suddenly developing a puncture, with me.
