Here's a link to the Triban 3 - if this fails just type in Triban into their website and two versions for the Triban 3 appear.

They aren't discontinuing the current T3. I had a chat to a customer service guy on the website yesterday as I couldn't add one to my basket (fixed now). They've just changed it's stock number as it's a new UK made model with the same specs.

Interesting to know - was going to rush out and buy one since I thought they were changing the spec and wanted the original spec - now might wait till I can get up to Edinburgh to try one in the shop.

i inquired about the availability of the triban 5A and got the following response.

In regard to your request, B'TWIN informed us that the brand new Triban 5 is coming into our stores within the next 3 to 4 weeks. We are currently in touch with the warehouse to find out when the bike will be available online. We expect it around the same time. However, as soon as we have more detailed information we will let you know.

The T5A should be available in 3-4 weeks and it certainly looks nice in the French brochure.

Think I'm pretty much set on waiting on the new 5 when it hits stores. I know there's nothing wrong with the group set on the current 3 but did feel that the Sora group set on the current 5 felt a lot more solid so a half way house between the two current models sounds good.

same for me. i intend to use the T5A as a winter workhorse but it'll be full on summer by the time i get it!
