There's no way I'd go commando. When commuting I wear an old pair of jean that are slightly worn away in the crotch; if I went commando my left ball bag would be rubbing against my saddle.

If & when I buy proper cycling shorts I'll give commando a try.

It never occurred to me to put on underwear beneath my lycra shorts. Why would anyone do that? It seems to defeat the object of the shorts!
Re. WNBR, I've never been more comfortable on my bike than when cycling in just the clothes I was born in. It's amazing!
